Well, it kinda is. Tiny magazine, heavy gun... It's not a bad design, but it's pretty seriously outdated. Para Ordinance makes a somewhat better version with a double stack magazine, and there are some with polymer lowers as well, but the basic design is old.
This looks like it was ripped straight out of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Excellet work sir. And may I say you have some of the best realized fictional designs I have ever seen, and this is coming from a gun nut. You seem to be proficient at drawing inspiration from real-world designs and implementing them into yours. Again, awesome work. I feel like I should commission FN Herstal or KAC for this beauty. I know this getting a little too technical, but have you come up with any specs for this thing? ROF, brass ejection, dimensions, etc.? I imagine with it's short barrel, even being a bullpup, accuracy must suffer somewhat past 250-300 yards . . . but then, the 6.8mm round has superb ballistics. . . and this would be used in urban environs . . .
There I go, rambling on. In short, excellent work sir.
It's called the GR-12(Named like the AK-12)and most of the idea's where stolen from the FAMAS F1, M16 series, G36c, and PDW. The requirements where that it'd have a 20in barrel with a full length of 25-28in.
I'm very grateful to have this magnificent weapon in my armory for use.
I never liked vertical grips until I found that one. I stabilise, standing up, at half the time using this one. It's simply a revelation. Also, I'm not too familiar with bullpup designs, the slide button behind the magazine, would that be the clip releaser?
Also, I don't know if it's an oversight, but I feel like there should be indicators on the safety as to semi-auto, burst, auto, safe, those things.
Hm. I'm not a native English speaker, so I usually call things whatever flows easier. But yeah, alright. Mag. Not clip. Duly noted
Haha, laziness, yeah. We had some allies visiting, borrowed some of our guns. Their usual weapons were semi and burst mode only, and our weapons were, in addition to semi and full auto, camouflaged so that the settings were obscured, and they shot eleven rounds before realising what'd happened. I laughed my arse off.
