Muzzle brake looks more suitable for 0.5 caliber up to 20 and 30mm rounds.

That is the general idea yes. Although this weapon doesn't exist in real life, it's entirely fictional.

You've got it backwards. The gun is fictional, the red dot sight is based on the HAMR sight, which is real.

Top one is how you transport it. Its just the receiver, The trigger, scope, and mount is assembled manually to make for easier transport, when moving from point A to B, in tight war zones.

It's a tad heavy for that. A GPMG can also be used as an LMG, and this thing is hardly man portable :D

It fires .338 Norma Magnum, shouldn't it weigh just a tad more than an old M60?

Nope. The action is based on the FN MAG, which is ungodly reliable and generally good, but a tad bulky and heavy. combined with the length and weight of the .338 compared to 7.62, it's a tad to large and heavy for infantry use. Compare the size of the grips with the rest of the gun, it's very large.

I have to say, if the British Army had these, i'd definately reconsider joining up.
